Draft Water Resources Management Plan

Our draft water resources management plan sets out how we will maintain the balance of supply and demand over the 25-year period from 2020 to 2045.  The plan ensures that we can meet the anticipated growth in demand at MediaCityUK, maintain the levels of service for supply reliability expected by our customers and secure benefits for the wider economy of the City of Salford and Greater Manchester.

We published our draft Water Resources Management Plan on 12th June 2018 for public consultation until the 4th September 2018. During this period we invite your feedback and comments on our proposals on how to meet our customers’ needs in future.

If you have any comments on our draft plan, please send these to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs by e-mail to both water.resources@defra.gsi.gov.uk and LWNL@leeputilities.co.uk

Please title your e-mail ‘Leep Water Networks WRMP19 consultation’.

Draft Drought Plan

We have a statutory duty to review and update our Drought Plan every 5 years. Our last Drought Plan was published in 2014 and we have therefore reviewed and updated the plan, which identifies the actions we will take to protect water supplies should a drought occur. The Plan also outlines how we will communicate with our customers during a drought.

We published our draft Drought Plan on 22 June 2018 for public consultation until the 17 August 2018. During this period, we invite your feedback and comments on our proposals.

If you have any comments on our draft plan, please send these to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs by e-mail to both
water.resources@defra.gsi.gov.uk and LWNL@leeputilities.co.uk
