Water – Cheam Treatment Works change – KP19 post code

05:30pm Friday 13th March 2026

SES Water have notified Leep Utilities of a temporary change to water hardness in the surrounding areas of their Cheam Treatment Works which may impact the Park Views area. The drinking water remains compliant with the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations and the increased hardness poses no health concern. Customers may notice increased deposits of limescale in kettles, on glassware or on taps, draining boards or sanitary ware. Some customers may notice a slight change to the taste of their water.

SES Water have created a factsheet to help explain how to mitigate this temporary change and expect this to be resolved by the end of March 2026.
