Powering Progress: Leep Utilities at the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal, Liverpool

Iom ferry 1909

Leep Utilities are proud to support some of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure projects, including the new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool, officially opened in June 2024.

A vital transport link for both visitors and residents, the ferry service between Liverpool and the Isle of Man is essential to regional connectivity. The new terminal, a £70 million investment by the Isle of Man Government, transforms the passenger experience with state-of-the-art facilities and increased capacity.

Leep Utilities were selected to adopt, own, and manage the terminal’s power network, ensuring the entire site runs smoothly and efficiently. From check-in desks to security scanners, and every light socket and power outlet in between, we’re proud to be the power behind every journey.

With 11 sailings a week and capacity for 850 passengers and crew per crossing, the terminal is expected to handle nearly half a million people annually. It’s a responsibility we take seriously, and a shining example of the vital role Leep plays in keeping key UK infrastructure powered and performing.
