Changes to our charges from 1st April 2026

Why are bills increasing from 1 April 2026?

Our charges mirror the local water and wastewater incumbents’ charges. Therefore, when incumbents’ charges change, this is reflected in our bills.

Ofwat has approved major improvements to be made to the water sector over the next five years. To fund these investments, and meet new environmental rules, Ofwat has agreed with water suppliers that between 2025 and 2030, bills across England and Wales will rise by an average of £31 a year.

These investments are focused on maintaining and improving essential water and wastewater services, protecting the environment, and ensuring resilient supplies for the future.

To help customers understand why bills are increasing from next year, we have compiled links to the incumbents’ websites below. These explain the reasons for their price increases and provide insight into the significant infrastructure investment programmes they are delivering.
