Project Win – Ingenious selects Leep Utilities to provide IDNO services at Nine Elms school

Leep Utilities has been appointed as IDNO for a new build Primary School site in Nine Elms, near Wandsworth in London.

Project overview

  • Project Name: Nine Elms School
  • Client: Ingenious Power Engineering
  • Location: Nine Elms, London
  • Sector: Local Authority (Education)

Our role

We’re proud to be supporting the delivery of a new flagship primary school in Nine Elms by adopting the electricity network as the Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO). This important development will not only enhance education infrastructure in the area but also contribute to the long-term resilience and efficiency of the site’s energy provision.

Once complete, the modern two-form entry school will accommodate 420 children aged 5 to 11 in mainstream education and include a stand-alone nursery for 52 children. The new facility will also increase the borough’s SEND capacity with a dedicated 16-place Social, Emotional and Mental Health specialist base, helping to meet the growing demand for inclusive, high-quality learning environments.

“Our relationship with Ingenious goes all the way back. It’s based on trust, expertise, and a shared commitment to doing things right. We’re proud to be involved in a project that will help nurture the young people in the community for decades to come”
Sean Duff, Business Development Manager, at Leep Utilities.

This further win highlights our continued success in partnering with clients who value competitive, customer-focused alternatives over traditional DNO offerings. We’re proud to help bring these new communities to life and watch as they flourish.
