At Leep, we believe that progress comes from continually learning, adapting and improving.
That’s why we’re proud to partner with Nathan Maguire, Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Paralympic silver medallist and one of Britain’s leading wheelchair racers, to launch Inside Track, a new series exploring the habits, behaviours and mindset behind sustained high performance.
Elite sport and utility infrastructure may seem worlds apart, but success in both relies on many of the same principles: preparing well, making good decisions under pressure, learning from challenges and never staying still.
Through Inside Track, Nathan shares the experiences that have shaped his career, while our own colleagues explore how those lessons can help us create better experiences for our customers, partners and each other.
More than sponsorship
This partnership is about much more than putting a logo on a racing chair case. Although we have done that as well.
Inside Track is designed to create meaningful conversations across our business about what high performance looks like in practice.
Across a series of short films and colleague engagement activities, Nathan will explore themes that are just as relevant in business as they are on the track, including:
- Building resilience when things don’t go to plan
- The importance of preparation and continuous learning
- Making confident decisions under pressure
- Creating high-performing teams built on trust and accountability
- Embracing change and adapting to new challenges
- Finding purpose and maintaining motivation over the long term
Each conversation provides an opportunity to reflect on how we work today, and where we can continue to improve tomorrow.
A partnership with local roots
What makes this partnership especially meaningful is Nathan’s connection to the communities we serve.
Born in Salford, Nathan’s journey from local roots to competing on the world stage reflects the ambition, resilience and determination that have helped shape Leep’s own growth.
After becoming paralysed at the age of eight, Nathan discovered wheelchair sport before progressing into racing, ultimately representing Great Britain at the highest level. His achievements include European Championship medals, Commonwealth Games gold and a Paralympic silver medal, but perhaps more impressive is the mindset that has enabled him to continually evolve throughout his career.
It’s this experience, not simply the medals, which makes Nathan such a valuable partner.
Learning from the Inside Track
Throughout the year, Nathan will work closely with colleagues across Leep, sharing the lessons elite sport has taught him about performing consistently at the highest level.
Inside Track isn’t about suggesting business is the same as elite sport. It’s about recognising that many of the qualities that help athletes succeed – curiosity, resilience, preparation, accountability and a commitment to continual improvement – are equally valuable in helping us deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers and partners.
By exploring these ideas together, we’re creating opportunities to challenge our thinking, share experiences and strengthen the culture that supports our continued growth.
Looking ahead
Inside Track is just getting started.
As new episodes are released, we’ll continue to explore fresh perspectives with Nathan, connecting the realities of elite competition with the opportunities and challenges we face every day at Leep.
We’re excited to learn from his experiences, celebrate his achievements and continue building a partnership centred on learning, improvement and delivering better outcomes for everyone we work with.
