Meet our new charity partner: Contact Hostel

We’re really pleased to announce that Contact Hostel in Manchester is Leep’s new Northern-based charity partner.

Contact was nominated by one of our colleagues and was selected from a shortlist of charities put forward by the team. We’re delighted to be supporting an organisation doing such important work right here in Manchester.

Helping young women build a future

Contact Hostel provides a safe home and support for homeless teenage girls in Manchester.

As well as providing somewhere safe to live, the Contact team helps residents access education, employment and training – supporting them to build confidence, achieve their goals and look ahead to a brighter future.

In Contact’s own words, they provide “a home for now and hope for the future.”

And it’s clear just how much that support can mean. One former resident said:

“Since being at Contact I have been able to have the peace I needed to study and finish my GCSEs. The staff have been so supportive and nurturing, it really does feel like I’m at home.”

Let’s get fundraising!

Contact needs to raise more than £225,000 this year to continue providing this vital support, so there’s plenty we can do to help.

Even small things can make a real difference. £10 could help provide a birthday cake to celebrate a special day, while £50 could provide a resident with warm, cosy bedding when they arrive.

We’re now busy planning our fundraising activities and thinking about all the ways our people can get involved. We’ll be sharing more details soon – and we’re excited to have as many colleagues involved as possible.

We’re really excited to be partnering with Contact and supporting the brilliant work they do for young women in our local community.
