The Opportunity
Leep Utilities is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to join the Revenue Assurance, Change and MI team. This will be a broad Project Management role, suited to a self-starter who can mobilise, control, and successfully run projects from beginning to end.  The projects within Leep will be diverse and you may need to run several projects in Parallel.   This role will be responsible for working closely with the various stakeholders to collate the details of the various projects to then formulate these into a delivery plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow a standard methodology in project management from requirements gathering and sign off to project planning and delivery.

  • Initiate the project, check feasibility, and work out budgets and resources.

  • Carry out planning in accordance with the needs of the customer, including setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing a detailed project plan outlining timeline.

  • Work closely with the rest of the change team and any third parties needed to ensure delivery of the various projects.

  • Carry out monitoring and control activities to track the progress of the project.

  • Identify and manage a detailed RAID log to ensure delivery is on time and too budget.

  • Set up the governance cadence required with the relevant stakeholders to report regularly.

  • Close the project - this includes a lesson learned exercise to enhance learning of the change team to support any new or existing projects.

 

About You

  • Proven track record demonstrating effective leadership and management in a workstream/ projects environment, with a focus on quality and results.

  • Demonstrated ability of the set up and management of a project including;

    • Requirements gathering, documenting and sign off with major stakeholders

    • Project governance set up and control including RAID log and tracking

    • Detailed project plans along with a POAP to support the overall milestone reporting and tracking.

    • Budget tracking and benefits tracking against an agreed budget and benefits case.

    • You will be a hands on project manager who is happy to be involved in the detail of the project to support the delivery.

  • Ability to effectively use all the Microsoft suite to support the set-up and management of the various projects.

  • Ability to build a coherent plan, effective risks, issues, dependencies, and run workstream meetings against the agreed plans

  • Pragmatic self-starter in working practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of programme and project organisation structures and the ability to fit in with an existing change team who is set up for success.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

  • Preferred - Project Management Qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or similar)

  • Utility experience would be beneficial.
